The Facility manager of The Living Cornerstone, Marietjie Digue, was recently interviewed on RSG radio station.
The result of this interview was that a company in Durban(U Can ) approached her and offered to donate new kitchen cupboards to The Living Cornerstone. As the kitchen renovation project was on the list of projects which had to be done for the year, it was a great kick start to this long overdue project.
Marietjie and Manie Heunis, who adopted the role of project manager, got together and planned a total renovation for the kitchen.
Manie and his team from Heunis Plumbing and Electrical started with the demolition process, and this created a lot of excitement and expectations.
“ Sponsors were approached to assist with material needed, and we were humbled by the response received, and the end product was a world-class kitchen of which we could only have dreamt of” – Marietjie Digue – Facility manager.
The official opening of our brand new kitchen took place on Wednesday, 4 September, and the invited guests were amazed by the end result.
